The jury of the Ventspils IT Challenge 2019 competition has completed work on evaluation of the first round of entries and has identified 64 teams that will meet in the final and adventure event in Ventspils, as well as qualify for the $ 12,000 cash prize pool.
There will be 38 teams from Latvia, 13 from Lithuania, 9 from Estonia and 4 from Finland.

This year students from 221 different educational institutions applied for the competition. A total of 533 teams registered: 370 from Latvia, 76 from Lithuania, 72 from Estonia and 15 from Finland.
The competition “Ventspils IT Challenge 2019” is organized by Ventspils Digital Centre, with the support of Ventspils City Council. A wide network of cooperation partners and friends has been established for the success of the competition: Ventspils University College, Ventspils City Education Board, Ventspils Creativity House, INPUT Network, Information Technology Foundation for Education (HITSA), MTÜ Nuti-Võlur , IT education foundation start (it), Accenture Latvia and Latvian Association of Game Developers.
